
Orange County criminal defense attorney, Charles T. Spagnola, is a Partner at Cummins & White, LLP, and leads the criminal defense practice group. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Mr. Spagnola was a Partner and Senior Litigation Counsel at Cayer & Spagnola. His considerable litigation and trial experience in Orange County criminal law includes handling white collar crimes and complex felonies; high-level contractual disputes; copyright and trademark litigation; and international trade disputes. He has represented clients in more than 80 jury trials and has acquired an extensive set of skills in litigation management, organization, negotiation, and strategic planning.

He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Indiana. Thomas R. Lamons is a Partner at Cummins & White, LLP and is a highly experienced tax controversy lawyer. He is a Certified Specialist, Tax Law, by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as an appellate attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, Tax Division in Washington D.C., as a Senior Trial Counsel and International Tax Counsel for the IRS District Counsel Office in Laguna Niguel, California, and as a Special Trial Attorney in the IRS Regional Counsel Office in Dallas, Texas. As a Special Trial Attorney, Mr. Lamons represented the Government as lead counsel in complex litigation, involving proposed tax deficiencies in excess of ten million dollars.
Mr. Lamons has handled several hundred cases in the United States Tax Court, the United States District Courts, the United States Claims Court, the United States Bankruptcy Court, and the United States Circuit Courts of Appeal, and assisted the government in cases pending in the United States Supreme Court. Throughout his years of practice as an attorney for the government, he has advised and represented the government in all stages of tax controversy matters, including large case audits, administrative appeals conferences, trial work and appeals, and collection matters.
Mr. Lamons earned his bachelor's degree (1979) and Juris Doctorate degree (1983) from the University of Wyoming, graduating with honors both times. After graduating from the University of Wyoming College of Law, he worked as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Clarence A. Brimmer of the United States District Court, District of Wyoming. Mr. Lamons has also taught law classes as an adjunct professor at Trinity Law School in Santa Ana, California and at Golden Gate University's graduate school of accounting in Irvine, California.
Mr. Lamons is licensed to practice in all state courts of California and Wyoming.

Iman Reza joined Cummins & White, LLP, as an associate in 2009. Mr. Reza’s practice focuses on criminal defense, business litigation, and insurance litigation.
Prior to joining Cummins & White, Mr. Reza’s practice focused on business transactions, catastrophic injury cases (personal injury), and business litigation, including employment litigation, breach of contract, and unfair competition claims. He also served as outside corporate counsel for several corporations. In addition, he handled misdemeanor and felony criminal defense cases, including drunk driving and theft crimes.
Previously, Mr. Reza handled complex litigation cases and class action lawsuits. He also worked with the Disability Rights Center in Los Angeles, zealously fighting discrimination against the disabled. Mr. Reza is a member of the State Bar of California. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. He also is a member of the American Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association and the Iranian American Bar Association. Additionally, he is a Barrister of the William P. Gray Legion Lex Inn of Court. Mr. Reza is fluent in Farsi.
Mr. Reza earned his bachelor’s degree with honors in Political Science and Economics from the University of California, Irvine (1998) and his J.D. with honors from Loyola Law School (2002).
